Opus Plasma Skin Resurfacing

Are you noticing more fine lines and wrinkles as you age but feel unsure about surgery and injection treatments? Opus Plasma® skin resurfacing treatment is a quick cosmetic rejuvenation treatment that offers many skin-renewing benefits. Dr. William Baugh is a board-certified dermatologist, who can use this treatment to rejuvenate your skin at his Fullerton, CA, office.

What is Opus Plasma Skin Resurfacing?

The Opus Plasma treatment clears away dead skin cells clogging your pores and stimulates collagen production for anti-aging benefits.

The handheld device is made up of tiny metal pins charged with radiofrequency energy. The device's energy reacts with the atmosphere to create a plasma-like phenomenon. The charged RF energy triggers your skin’s healing response for a rejuvenating effect that requires no downtime.

While the treatment is often most popular for the face, the Opus Plasma device can also be used on the neck, upper chest, hands, stomach, and other areas of the body that could benefit from the cosmetic treatment.

My daughter was treated by Dr Baugh and we were both so grateful for the detailed information he gave us. She had seen other dermatologists and Dr Baugh was the first to prescribe treatment that cleared her skin very quickly.

Consultation

During your initial consultation, Dr. Baugh will take note of your skin care concerns and goals. If Opus Plasma seems like a good fit for you, the doctor will recommend stopping the use of retinol products for a week before your appointment.

Numbing the Skin

On the day of the procedure, the doctor will apply a topical anesthetic cream to the skin's surface. The numbing cream makes the procedure a virtually painless experience.

Performing the Skin Resurfacing Treatment

The entire procedure lasts less than an hour. Depending on your skin type and area of skin treatment, the process will take 15-30 minutes. Patients may see results after one treatment, but we recommend three separate sessions for optimal results.

Healing Time

You can carry on your day without downtime following the Opus Plasma treatment. Your skin may be slightly swollen for a day or two after the procedure, and your skin may experience flaking and redness on the third and fourth day, but your skin should return to normal and better than ever by the fifth or sixth day.
